Common questions

The label is not recognised

Hold the label inside the frame, in good light and without glare, and try again. If VinoMesa can read part of the label it continues with the grape, region or vintage. If not, tap Enter manually and choose the colour and the grape.

The dishes take a while to appear

For a wine style VinoMesa has not seen before, the dishes are written on the spot. That takes about 15 seconds, and a recipe about 20. The next time they appear at once.

I see a message about too many requests

To keep the service available for everyone there is a limit on the number of scans in a short time. Wait a quarter of an hour and try again.

Where are my saved pairings?

On the Saved tab. They are stored on your phone only, so they do not move to a new phone and they are deleted when you delete the app.

Which languages and devices are supported?

VinoMesa is available in English and Dutch and follows the language of your iPhone. It needs iOS 18 or later.
